Saturday, April 18th 11:30AM-1:30PM I Pottery Cafè

$85.00
20 available

Class will be held Saturday, April 18th from 11:30am to 1:30pm!

Pick from a list of five items to create in class - including a coffee pour over, a Chinese take out box, a juicer, a pitcher, and an olive oil bottle. Your teacher will review the steps for cutting out the patterns and connecting clay together. Then, you will work at a self-guided pace as you follow our in-house step-by-step instructional manuals for connecting the pieces.

We do not paint pieces in class, as they have to be dried and fired in the kiln first. You will choose your glaze color at the end of class and we will glaze it before it is ready to pick up 3 weeks later. Note, this class is done at tables, not a spinning wheel.

Class includes some instruction at the beginning but otherwise students build at their own speed and create independently, knowing that the teacher is always available to provide help. This class is a more intimate setting than our normal hand-building clay classes.

Please note that we do not offer reschedules or refunds. If you cannot attend a purchased class, you may gift your ticket to a friend. Transfer your ticket to your friend by emailing hello@tradeoakcliff.com at least 24 hours before the start of your class.

Location: Class is held at Trade Oak Cliff (1300 S Polk Street, Suite 234). We are located in Tyler Station. You can park on any side of the building. We are located on the side closest to the DART rail 4 doors down from Oak Cliff Brewery where you’ll see a bright mural with hands that says “Trade Oak Cliff”  Parking details will be emailed with your order confirmation.

Arrive early to make sure you can enjoy your entire class! Get to the studio at least 10 minutes before your class starts to complete any initial instructions. You do not want to be late to class because we cover a lot of important steps at the beginning. Please factor in Dallas traffic  and parking when planning your visit.

BYOB: You may bring drinks to class (alcoholic or non), but must arrive sober and remain able to focus on instruction.

Kids: We welcome kids into our pottery classes, but we do require that all of our hand-building class participants be at least 8 years old. All kids should also be accompanied by a ticketed parent.

Items are dishwasher, and microwave safe!

Pick up three weeks after your class or ship to your doorstep! Once your piece has been finished by the studio, we send a message with our available pick up days and hours. Please note that we send the pick up message via text or email to the person who booked the class and you will need to forward information to the people you purchased for if they are picking up separately.

If you would like to ship your piece home, just tell your teacher. You will select and pay for shipping in the studio at the end of your class (costs range from $22 to $30, depending on how many items you are shipping). Your piece will ship out about four weeks after your class date and we will send a tracking number once we have sent your package.
